Three New Members Join the EM GUIDE Network: Lunchmeat, Open Systems and Inkonst
EM GUIDE continues to grow! We are excited to announce three new members: Lunchmeat (Prague, Czech Republic), Open Systems (Cologne, Germany), and Inkonst (Malmö, Sweden). Each of them brings a distinct perspective on contemporary music, sound art, electronic music culture and interdisciplinary cultural production, strengthening the network’s capacity for transnational collaboration across Europe.
Lunchmeat (Czech Republic) is a collective dedicated to innovation in electronic music and digital art. Its activities include Lunchmeat Festival, which presents international artists working across electronic music, audiovisual performance and experimental sound, and Lunchmeat Studio, which develops immersive audiovisual projects at the intersection of art and technology. Through its collaboration with EM GUIDE member Easterndaze, Lunchmeat connects festival programming with regional music journalism, independent media and cultural archiving, strengthening links between live events and editorial ecosystems in Central and Eastern Europe.
Open Systems (Germany) is a non-profit organisation focused on the promotion, dissemination and research of contemporary music and sound art. Founded in 2002, Open Systems operates through festivals, concert series and symposia, building regional, national and international cooperation models that support experimental music, interdisciplinary performance and contemporary cultural practice. Their work expands EM GUIDE’s focus on sustainable cultural infrastructures and cross-city collaboration within the European contemporary music ecosystem.
Inkonst (Sweden) is an independent venue presenting performing arts, music, talks and experimental cultural programming. Since 1998, Inkonst has developed as a key platform for innovative contemporary culture that moves beyond established genre boundaries. Its signature festival, Intonal, has been held annually since 2015 and focuses on experimental and electronic music, bringing together international artists and audiences. Inkonst adds a strong Nordic perspective to the EM GUIDE network, particularly in relation to venue-based programming and interdisciplinary contemporary music scenes.
With these new members, EM GUIDE continues to expand its European network of independent music media, cultural organisations and festivals, strengthening collaboration across journalism, programming, production and cultural exchange. The network now connects initiatives across Central, Eastern and Northern Europe, reinforcing its mission to build sustainable, transnational infrastructure for independent music and contemporary culture.
