The EM GUIDE project hosts 14 internal workshops. These workshops are meant to help the project staff, and occasionally other contributors of the network, to acquire, improve, and exchange skills and knowledge relevant to the participating magazines and/or the network itself.
The workshop, Algorithms and Tech in Music Consumption, moderated by Bas Grasmayer, provided our staff with a walkthrough of how technology –especially algorithms and modern artificial intelligence– has become a driving force in today's music industry. The workshop included various interactive parts, during which the group tried out various AI tools and engaged in discussions about the benefits and drawbacks of AI, as well as ideas and concerns related to music journalism.
