Workshop on Podcast and Distribution with Chal Ravens and Tom Lea

The EM GUIDE project hosts 14 internal workshops. These workshops are meant to help the project staff, and occasionally other contributors of the network, to acquire, improve, and exchange skills and knowledge relevant to the participating magazines and/or the network itself.

The workshop, titled Podcast and Distribution, offered a comprehensive overview of podcast creation and distribution, with a particular emphasis on podcasts as a medium for music journalism. It aimed at equipping the project staff with essential knowledge and skills for creating and distributing podcasts effectively, as well as exploring various methods for audience engagement.

About Chal Ravens and Tom Lea

Chal Ravens is a music journalist known for her insightful work on electronic and underground music, contributing to outlets like The Guardian and Pitchfork. Tom Lea is the founder of Local Action, an influential record label in the UK and international independent music scene.

Together, they co-host the podcast and newsletter No Tags, launched in 2023, which provides a platform for underrecognized artists and industry figures, offering in-depth conversations about music and culture.
