Georgia: Underground culture under threat

Georgia's underground culture, especially its electronic music scene, has long been a space for artistic expression and resistance. However, the scene is under threat as Georgia experiences an illiberal political shift, with laws resembling those of Russia and Hungary. The ruling party's efforts to pass restrictive "foreign agent" and anti-LGBTQ+ laws are causing concern. In response, cultural communities, particularly from the music scene, are organizing protests to defend civil rights, marginalized groups, and their creative spaces.
